Sydney Endodontists History

Sydney Endodontists started as a solo practice in 1975 by Dr Steven Cohn who was one of the first specialist endodontists in Australia.

Over the years the practice gradually expanded, firstly with Dr Penelope Jones and later with Dr Barry Sandler followed by Dr Robyn Thomas and Dr Alan Nerwich.

With all these practising endodontists, the practice outgrew the premises on the 3rd floor of 60 Park Street and, in 2000, the practice moved to the 11th floor of the same building and became known as Park Street Endodontists.

A decision was made in 2006 to open a satellite practice in Bondi Junction. Subsequent to this Dr Donna Richards and recently Dr Peter Case joined the practice which is now known as Sydney Endodontists

In February 2016 our third practice in Miranda opened and Dr Elizabeth Lou and Dr Harry Mohan joining the practice .

Dr Steve Cohn and Dr Penelope Jones have now retired from clinical endodontic practice but both continue to be involved in teaching.

Our practice has always taken pride in being an ethical and friendly practice offering the highest standards of endodontics and cutting edge technology. The practice was the first practice in Australia to have an operating microscope installed in 1998. All endodontists are heavily involved in continuing education and regularly attend local and international conferences to maintain the highest standards of knowledge and to keep up to date with the latest technology enabling us to provide the highest level of expertise to our patients.
